    1985 merc 50hp water pump impeller shaft stuck in crankshaft wont allow me to remove foot so i can replace water pump. was told that through process of electrolisis shaft has "welded" itself to the crankshaft-boat has also been in salt water for 2 years. was told to replace impeller every season...

    stuck water pump impeller shaft

    water pump impeller shaft has "welded" itself to crank and i cannot replace my water pump impeller I find it hard to believe that such an inexpensive part is going to render my motor useless! HELP!!!!!
