    71 johnson 50 hp water problem

    Jesse here, with a problem that has me stumped.. my 71 50hp johnson runs, but won't produce full power. I am getting some fine water spray out of the cylinders when a spark plug is removed and the engine is run with muffs. :confused: replaced ALL gaskets and seals, checked for cracks in head...

    71 johnson electric shift w/water in cyl.

    motor starts and runs, but won't get over 20 mph. (pushing a 15' tri-hull.) running on hose, with upper or lower plug pulled, at high idle thick water vapor is present, back off throttle water stops..good spark, clean carbs.all new gaskets,(head,water jacket.)checked for holes in water jacket...
