    When draning gear lube for winter,1979 25 Hp Evinrude electric start, much water not much lubricant. During summer I noticed lube coming from weep hole near oil level plug, I am assuming bad seal in top of gear case around drive shaft, any thoughts on this,how difficult is repair? Any special...

    79 Evinrude jumps out of gear

    I have a 79 Evinrude 25 hp that jumps out of foward gear at just about any speed. I have replaced the clutch dog, shift yoke and cradle. You can see the shift lever start to move out of gear to neutral, holding it in helps. Also does it with linkage unhooked at engine. clarsonswede@yahoo.com
