    Does color tell what year evinrudes are

    I was once told that the color of your outboard will designate the years 1950's 1960's etc. Is this true and does anyone know the colors for evinrude and johnson.I am trying to find year of evinrude and all I have is serial No. 15012-78824 and I think it may be a 10 H\P. This engine is blue.

    find year of evinrude

    I once found a web site for evinrude that allowed you to enter serial number of outboard to get info like date of engine (etc).I did not bookmark this site and can not find it. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks
