    Tohatsu 8hp cowl latch replace

    2004 MFS8A2 latch part of the cowl latch aseembly detachedand lost. Purchased new latch assembly but no room between engine and bolt on inside of the lower cowl lip. Anyone have any experience with this ?

    Rubber cowl seal is in excellent condition but it has detached from the double sided foam tape that adheres it to the cowl. Can I use weatherstrip adhesive to re attach the rubber seal to the foam tape ? Or can the rubber seal be glued with same weatherstrip adhesive directly to the cowl ...
