    merc 470 thermostat location?

    I have an '82 merccruiser 470. The temp gauge doesn't move and I've blown 2 coolant hoses. First, the hose from intake to exhaust blew. Replaced it. Next day the hose from intake to waterpump blew. Could this be caused by a bad thermostat? Where do I find the thermostat? Thanks!!

    Daughter ran it last and ran out of oil. Added oil. Now it turns over but won't start. Suggestions??

    Mercruiser 470 will not start

    When I try and start the motor I just hear a single click. Started happening about a week ago. I took off the starter and had it rebuilt and replaced the solenoid. Worked great for 2 days, now it's doing the exact same thing. Had the batteries tested, both good, and fully charged. Any ideas...
