    7.5 Merc. vintage

    I am looking at a Merc. 7.5 HP (serial#5442415) for sale. The owner says he has'nt started it in 5 years because if impeller failure. Can anyone tell me what year this motor was made and are the impellers available and reasonable as the price of the motor ($75) is tempting and I am fairly handy.

    I am a Calif. resident and a few of our water resevoirs now require motors to meet minumum CARB 2000 pollution requirements. Does anyone know if the older Honda (BF75 or BF100) outboards meet this requirement?
