    Well I tested the wire at the sender with a good ground and the gauge spiked, tells me that either the thermostat isn't working properly and the engine is never getting over 100 or that the sender isn't working correctly. Have a look at where I had to place the sender with this new intake...

    I pulled the throttle and cleaned up all of the connections in the neutral switch. I also pulled the main barrel plug at the back and put in electrical grease. Good news is that the boat ran perfectly this weekend! We took it out for the main voyage and even got my son on the kneeboard up!

    Thanks and good call, I will check the voltage to the pump on start tomorrow. The one that is throwing me is when I turn the key and I get no starter engage and just the fuel pump running. Doesn’t that seem odd?

    So here is a head scratcher for you. While cranking the fuel pump is not running. The relay is getting 12 volts and getting the 12v signal when cranking. Replaced the relay with a new one, no change. Jump straight to the pump and it kicks in. And than every once in a while the engine wont...

    Definitely a typo lol. This long block came from Atlantic Marine and is supposed to be fully setup with timing, cam, etc but good call on the checking it. This is a 2000 4.3 Volvo Penta (i.e Chevy Vortex). I will report back on the spark tonight!
