    It's backed out to where the shift linkage isnt touching it and I was getting 130psi cylinder 1&2 I checked reeds I checked vacuum lines for leaks the only thing I can think of is air/fuel mixture screw adjustment is wrong

    No knobs on front of motor just pull out lever for choke this one doesn't have the turn to prime and kill switch and yes it is new to me

    Neutral on muffs is all so far I shut it down

    Tiller is just throttle up and down shift knob on side of motor

    I have a 1996 mercury 25hp sea pro it starts right up and idles rough but if you give it the tiniest bit of throttle It revs high any ideas on what this could be from?? Or how I can fix it?? Pictures below

    Ok so is that why it's revving and holding that Rev then backing down? If I start it it will idle if I touch throttle and give it any gas it revs real high then I shut it off start it back up and it's back normal until I give it any kind of gas?? I can't get the mixture screw right either? I...

    I just got the motor it's only been on muffs on the stand it starts up idles decently but if I touch the throttle and give it any gas at all it revs really high
