    As noted above 20 year old Merc 2 cycle continues to alarm but mechanic says because showing smoke when running should be ok for now. Need new mechanic. Same thing happened last year and mechanic resolved by changing large remote oil reservoir cap and oil alarm sensor. Continuously beeping now...

    My oil reservoir was low and alarm sounded, added gallon in remote tank, checked that oil was in engine top oil container and was. Motor then ran great with oil in reservoir and engine container. Alarm still sounds off. Mechanic will look at it later but is it safe to use now? 20 year old 150hp...
