    prop rehubbed...still not running right

    40 hp merc... I was told to rehub the prop, did that and it ran fine the very first time i took it out...Now it does the same thing. In low/mid throttle she runs great, but at high throttle it acts like the prop is out of the water or it acts like the motor is in nuetral. Anyone got a clue. Thanks

    Hey fone_man; JB Cornwell --re: spun hub

    If my hub is "spun", will i notice wear or a smoothness to the teeth/sprocket or is there something internal? I pulled the prop and compared with a spare I did have, and they both look good and tight when i put them back on.

    My Merc doesn't want to go at full throttle!!

    It's a 70s model 50hp. starts, idles and runs like a champ at low gear and reverse. At full throttle, however, it feels and sounds like the prop is out of the water...but it's not. (i.e. the rpms run high but it's like the prop isn't turning)...when i throttle down it begins to run normally...
