    1988 Mercury 100 4 cyl, voltage problem?

    Can anyone tell me what voltage the regulator is supposed to deliver?<br /><br />I'm getting 13.5 at idle and 14 at 1000 rpm. Then I get higher and higher readings when wide open - 15 to 16 volts.<br /><br />None of my gauges seem to work correctly - trim and temp never move - tach sometimes...
