I know the harness plug is the exact same, so wiring wont be an issue.

Okay, so I've put out a few threads about the boat I bought, and on Saturday I had a pretty darn good confirmation my worst fears are true. The block is I'm 99% sure cracked. Will pull the engine this weekend, pull intake and heads to check the gaskets to be 100%.
