how do they do this test? & where do i find the specs on how much pressure a particular gear case is supposed to hold? i have a radiator pressure tester & could adapt it would that work? :(
yes there are seals. install tube up to block first then bring lowerunit up to tube you may need an extra set of hands. water should come out of peehole w/flushing cup&hose connected without engine running. also w/ engine cover off make sure powerhead to exhausthouseing gasket is not leaking...
i posted the ser#6382031 it came back as a 1983 3cyl. 70 hp....well the 83 is original design powerhead?(removable head). & 87 & up, one piece casting powerhead.,(water jacket coverplate only?) this one has the new design powerhead. is this ok? will it work with the 83 exhaust housing & lower...
just purchased. it will start when i squirt fuel into carb, but not stay running. have fresh fuel,new tank, hose. fuel pump was bad so i rebuilt. still wont stay running so i pulled carb it was nasty. i cleaned and reinstalled. it is getting fuel to carb as bowl remains full i dont think it is...

they will work franki. ive done it atime or two. get a sending unit& gauge, Ive got an old aluminum street sign that i use for making the brakets. depending on the size threads on sending unit, cut strip off the sign long & wide enough to make braket in the shape of of an L with a backwards leg...

I took my carbs off for rebuilding 4 months ago just got aroundtoit carbs are rebuilt but i cant remember how to reconnect the linkages i could sure use a good picture :confused: ward@ecinet2000.com
