The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
I apologize up front if I'm starting another oil debate. I've been searching the internet, and various forums, and honestly, my head is spinning.
My 96 speedster smokes like a crop-duster on startup, and smokes like that for several minutes, until it's warmed up.
I've heard of various "low...
I'm still relatively new to boating. Have had a 14' seadoo speedster for 2 years, and it's time to upgrade. Mainly because of it's size, the fact that it chugs the gas, and the ride can get really rough when the lake gets choppy.
Although one of the features that I absolutely love about it was...
I have a '96 speedster. I've only owned it for a year, and it's always exhibited this issue. The throttle controls are very, very stiff when the engine is running. You really have to put some muscle into it to give it some gas. (so stiff that my wife can barely move them when she's driving)
But...
This is basically a continuation from this thread: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=352865
But since the issue has become engine related, I figured I'd start over here.

It's a 1996 Speedster with the twin rotax engines. Been having issues with the overheat alarm going off after...
Ok, let me preface this by saying that I've owned my boat for all of four days, and only had it out on the water twice.
Yes, I'm a noob.
So anyway, my seadoo speedster came with a bimini top. I still haven't put it up. I guess I've envisioned it as something to put up while casually...
Ok, probably a stupid question, but I'm a boating noobie, so I'll ask anyway.
I just bought a 96 seadoo speedster. It is stored in my garage, and the only time it will ever be outside is going to/from and being on the lake.
So is there any reason to buy a boat cover for this?
So I just purchased a 96 seadoo speedster jet boat. In great condition, and ran great during the test drive.
Took it out today for the first time as the proud new owner.(my first boat, btw)
Cruising around for about half an hour. Then the left engine starts revving higher than the right and...
I'm looking to possibly buy a 94 bayliner reflexx with the mercury 90hp sportjet engine.
The owner has told me that the way these engines work is that the top cylinder doesn't fire until the engine gets above 600rpm, but that's how these engines were designed.
Because of this, only the bottom 2...
Looking to make my first boat purchase.
It will mainly be used for cruising around on the lake, having lunch on the water, maybe pulling a tube, but nothing fancy.
Right now I'm looking at 2 boats (both the same price, $2200), a 97 sunbird sizzler, and a 94 bayliner reflexx. The sizzler has a...
