im stuck when it comes to calipers and micrometers
measuring crankshaft journals with a micrometer is what ive seen so far but what about a venier caliper? whats the diference in measuring with either?

ive managed to get those darn ring clips out, took 2 days, a hanger, small needle nose pliers 2deep sockets and extensions. im reading my manual and it says i have to remove the pinion gear to remove the prop shaft and clutch/shift mech as a unit. they say use a socket but i only see room to fit...
just curious as what could be used to hold a flywheel still while removing that nut.im imagining that using a breaker bar and socket would require more holding of the flywheel than an impact wrench?
