    Evinrude maxes at 3800RPM

    My craft usually tops out at ~30MPH. Two weeks ago while cruising at WOT, the RPM dropped and my top speed now is only 20MPH@3800RPM. I checked compression on all cylinders that were all around 95psi and I am getting spark in all cylinders. I have a 1987 e90tlcur. Thanks

    What differences in compression should I expect between a hot and cold motor? I have a 1987 90hp evinrude model # e90tlcur. I measured 95psi on all cylinders when cold. Thanks

    How do I remove the OMC control on my e90tlcur? I turn the two screws which appear to be holding it in place. Thanks

    Tilt/Trim fluid screw

    I can't seem to be able to loosen the fill screw of my 90hp E90TLCUR tilt/trim to add fluid. I do have a large flat head screw driver and a wrench that I tried. I don't think it's a good idea to heat it, or can I? Impact tools? Thanks

    I need to replace the two long bolts ( OMC p/n 0332267 ) on my trim/tilt and was wondering if I can substitutute a stainsteel bolt from the hardware store. The description of the bolt 79mm (3 1/8 inch) in length. I measured the bolt and came up with a 3/8 x 16 x 3 1/4. Will this work? I just can...

    Trim/Tilt cylinder pin removal

    I can't seem to be able to push the tilt cylinder ping thru using a three pound hammer and a 1/2 inch extension as a punch. I do have the motor on its tilt lock levers. Am I missing something? I ve sprayed WD-40 for a couple of days. I have to replace the trim/tilt motor on 1987 90 (E90TLCUR)...
