The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
I looked at a 1976 boat today powered by a Volvo Penta 6cyl diesel. I was kind of expecting a Nissan SD33 but found another engine instead. It has two valve covers. The injection pump drives the raw water pump and it was normally asperated. The VP outdrive had the number 270 pn it. The engine...
Looked at a SS three blade prop today that had a broze ring at the exhaust end. The only number I could find was K1268 stamped in the barrel. Anyone know what this might fit?
TIA,

Hey all. I'm thinking of selling my 21'. I want to keep the engine and jet pump. I wouldn't mind keeping the trailer and hull title but I don't think there would be too many buyers of a title less hull. There are a few pics on my original thread about the boat...
Just like the title says. It's a 35 y/o outboard and I'm wondering if they have known problems or if they're generally good. The one I'm looking at looks perfect but you know how that goes.... I'm also kind of wondering how much power they put out versus rated power? My Suzukis have always...
Just like the title says I guess. Local dealers want nothing but a new motor sale so I thought I'd see if there are any intreweb peoples that carry these parts. I've heard very good things about these 5.5hp twins and would love to see for myself. I'm pretty sure the float is not floating and I...
I recently picked up one of these and I'm very happy. However I have no owners manual and I'm wondering about the output of the charging coil.
Is it regulated so that I can directly hook it up to a 12vdc battery?
I'm hoping this is the case as I would really like to add a gps and a couple of...
Just purchased a '65 Alumicraft 12 fishing boat. Does anyone know what the recommended max HP is? It's currently wearing a Johnson 5.5, same year, but if it can handle my 9.9 I'll try it as river running requires a bit of speed to get upstream. I'm also curious as to what all the aluminum...
I just bought a '72 Starcraft. 21' Chief, I believe, with a Berkeley jet and a 454 BBC. Anyone have an idea what it might weigh? I'm thinking of doing a diesel conversion and then some river running and knowing the weight would be very handy.
Thanks all.
