    Prestolite Timing. Center Mark = 30 degrees? 50HP

    I just checked timing with a light by jumping the shift interlock, moving the shift lever to full throttle (while cranking the engine), grounding the top plug and disabling the bottom CDI (disconnected).     1 ohm resistance across 1987 50HP charging coil. Ok?

    I couldn't find a chart for this coil online. I don't believe I'm getting either charging or ignition voltage from this stator. I get 750 ohms on the ignition coil of the stator and just 1 ohm on the charging coil.

    Is this article true? I have had pretty good luck with Force motors.

    0.25 Volts AC from stator. But ohms out ok. What to check?

    My Force 50HP Stator coil should read around 750 ohms resistance which it does, and no continuity to engine ground.     Gear Lube leaking at water intake when 50HP is tilted up for storage
