I have a 79 mercruiser 228 305 CID Serial #5431717. The trim wil go up, no problems or hesitations. However, it won't go down. Acts like it wants to, it jumps once, when u push the button like it's gonna start moving but then nothin.

i have a 79 cruisers. it has problems with the tilt right now. it will tilt down real slow, and wont tilt up at all unless i jump the solenoid.
when i first bought the boat the trim down worked fine just the up didnt work. changed the solenoid and now i have the problem worsen. ive even tried...
