    40hp won't idle

    I did the carbs and thermostate. What i've noticed is if I put my hand over the upper carb I feel vacuum but the engine does not respond at all. If I put my hand over the lower carb the engine will die. What's wrong with the upper? I have spark.<br /><br />thanks

    1998 40hp idle problem

    I'm having a heck of time getting my engine to idle. sync and link is fine, all the marks line up.
