    2 stroke longevity?

I do like having Air that isn't full of Unburned Fuel, Carbon Monoxide, and Oxides of Nitrogen, and I suspect the EPA clamped down further Increases of those being introduced into the Watersheds.

If the Axle was under the Transom, then Half the Weight of the Boat and Trailer would be on the Hitch

    2 stroke longevity?

Far fewer Parts in a 2 stroke to fail/wear. There are tens of thousands of 2 Stroke Motors from the 50s still running, and have never been apart. I doubt that in 20 yrs there will be many of the current 4 Strokes still running, the original Powerheads

    Trouble launch and loading boat

"Runner V" ????? You say the Ramp shallows out. Your Trailer is lower at the Front when hitched to your Tow Vehicle, so maybe you are trying to back the Boat Uphill when coming off the Trailer, if the Ramp is really Flat. Raising the front of the Bunks and the Rollers forward of it, might...

    Trouble launch and loading boat

Trailer is way too small for that boat, and that is putting the Hull at risk of Deformation.

The one on my Boat was stuck closed when I took it out the First Time. Engine had been run from a Separate Tank at the Dealer during Prep. That Valve no longer exists in my boat

Well the Exhaust Tuner in the Midsection is a different Part #. Same goes for the Exhaust Housing Adapter(might have something to do with the Tuned Exhaust)

    Prop change on my bowrider

I would try a 3 blade 21. I suspect with the Gearing on a 4.3, it probably came with a 21, but the previous Owner wanted better Hole Shot, and stuck 19 on it

    Retaining ring on1975? Johnson

If you are referring to a 20hp, it is basically the same as an 18hp. It was made well into the Late 70s.

That Mixture Adjuster, only adjusts the Idle Mixture. As other have said, it appears to be a Case of Dirty Carb(s), however. Is the Spark on each Cylinder, strong enough to jump a 3/8" Gap? If you clean the Carbs, once they are Reinstalled, you will have to so a Check of, and perhaps Adjust...

18 or 25? Anyway to tell?

The Cowl Cover looks like a 1969(based on the Graphic on the Back of the Cowl) . The Recoil looks like it was from a Johnson Motor. Maybe the Transom Bracket was replaced, or the entire Powerhead and Cowl were placed on a 73 Midsection. It looks like some Sketchy Glass Repair on the Transom, in...

18 or 25? Anyway to tell?

When I look at the 1973 Parts Lists, I see different Part #s for the 18/20 and the 25hp Carbs Pics of your Frankinrude, would be nice

18 or 25? Anyway to tell?

If those parts from a 25 are installed on an 18/20hp, the engine can be ruined. Putting the 25hp Head on an 18/20hp, without changing the Pistons will result in too much Compression and Detonation will occur. Putting the Carb and Intake for a 25 on an 18/20 without the Piston and Head Changes...
