Hi guys, anyone have any pictures, or willing to take some, of the throttle settings on the 1962 10 hp evinrude sportswin? Model number is 10024A.

I ended up picking up one yesterday and still runs pretty well after new spark plugs. It seems to have a bit of a weird issue. The throttle settings on the tiller handle are missing. I looked up pictures and there seem to be only 2 settings - start and fast, but mine will only start on what I think is fast and dies when I move it to what I think is start. This model has a kill switch, so I don't think the throttle should be causing that.

Either I'm just not familiar enough or my throttle is misaligned, so I need pictures to be sure! Thanks!

Typical for a motor that is running on 1 cylinder.----Post the actual compression values here.----And does spark jump a gap of 1/4" or more on both leads?

Compression is hovering right around 70, only was able to warm it up for a few minutes, as soon as I try to reduce the choke or any of the controls it tends to sputter and kick off.

I'd like to say yes, my plugs are gapped at .30 but I'm not sure how to measure the spark itself.

low compressison but if anything like the 9.5 it should run fine like mine a 9.5 turtle visit leroy 's site

idling requires a clean carb have you serviced the carb... checked points coils etc what has been done other than comp. test

START is when the cam follower on the carb lines up with the mark (BAR) on the cam itself
