I have seen guys who are commercial fishermen out in my harbor with their boats....some are left out all winter, this year it was in the ice, etc, and they come out with a fresh battery, fire up the outboard and motor on. None of the nonsense that I/O owners have to go through trying to make a car engine live in a boat!
Can't handle a screw and a rudder?

If they drained one, they typically drain everything. Why would anyone not drain the manifolds while your down in there opening the other drains. I would be concerned with the other maintenance or lack of ! If I his was done by a dealer, I would never go back to them......

I agree if someone drains one they'll most likely drain everything. You, I and most here would drain everything but I'd bet there are others who don't often swing a spanner (wrench), hear or read they need to winterise the engine and do just that without realising they need to drain the exhausts etc? A bit of information sometimes a dangerous thing...

On mine draining the engine and draining the exhausts is about equal effort, just slide the engine cover out of the way then it's easy access to the sides of the block where the drains are, slacken them off with a socket and the block drains into the bilge. To do the exhausts it's a screwdriver or socket to slacken the hose clips and pull the pipes off.
