I feel your pain. We lost two big oaks a couple weeks ago in a storm. At least I’ll use the wood. Not sure what I’d do with a huge pine like that one. That’s some work right there.

Some buyers get rid of big trees ( big weeds ) before they smash the house.-----Plant little ones and watch them grow.

Could never figure out why someone would buy a wooded lot then cut all the trees down.

If your scared of trees, why not just buy a house in the middle of a corn field instead?

Nothing wrong with trees near a house just not right next to. Certain trees like pines i want it no closer than maybe 150 ft.

The whole of Southland looked like that a couple of months ago ,100mph winds and still all around my place there are either trees still down or you can see where they were.
I aint that fussed on pine for firewood but when the lord giveth ( I aint even slightly religious 😃). Maybe trim the fluff ( branches )off it for firewood and sell the trunk to lumber merchant .
Here its annoying because farmers havnt got the time to clean up the mess but because of our health and safety laws any farmer that lets someone ( like me ) on to their property is likely to get big fines if I was to get hurt ......even if its my own stupid fault for doing something dumb so while I am paying $80 per m³ for firewood ( thats thrown not stacked ) there is heaps of storm wood getting pushed into piles and burnt .🤬

Some do that here. Buy a beautiful few acre wooded lot and then proceed to clear cut it and build a house right in the middle. No trees at all
To each his own I suppose,

There are some trees on the lot that need taking down. This one was planned for removal. Trees get old and dangerous. Ive emailed the state asking for input on what is best to replace with. The lot is about 1.5 acres and about 2/3 is in a flood plain, of course house is up the hill.

Love treed,just not dangerous ones.

Choose wisely. All the ash are now dead. Oak trees are now dying by the millions due to several diseases, and now there is a beach leaf disease wiping out the beech trees by the millions.
