Was a nice spring day on the lake. Only a matter of days now till you can’t see up in those woods. Fishing was slow. The guy in the pic left when I did. No fish today.

We have surface temps in the low 50's also. Lakers are running at the 20'-40' depth I am told. Haven't had a chance to chase them yet.

Stripers are in the Delaware River right now. They follow the shad up. Buddy has a jet , might jump on an invite to chase some tomorrow.

Mmmm I see them in the supermarket freezer, dont have them here to catch . Mostly for all the immigrants ......honestly the fish freezer looks like a blimmin bait shop now with all the frozen imported fish . Are they a good eat ?
Haven't had them yet, but I hear they're fantastic. Alot of fisherman are targeting them....

I think these ones here are farmed as opposed to wild caught but Im going to catch a couple next time I pass that freezer . They also have Sanmar which I only ever bought as frozen bait but they look tasty too.
The issue for me buying fish at the supermarket is freshness , once you have had your own boat and can eat the fish the day you catch it shop bought (so called) fresh stuff is cat food at best .I had them on one day and the dept manager told me 5 days old is fresh .....which is bollocks .....even if chilled that aint fresh to me 🙂
