You miss the crowds? The best thing about online shopping is that I don’t have to go to the stores with my wife. I hate shopping AND crowded stores … together I am not a happy camper …

The Admiral has done plenty of "Holiday shopping" for years, so my shopping is limited to buying some concert tickets for us (on-line now, thank goodness)

Gotta admit, I do miss "going shopping" with my best friend...

double edge sword. I lament the fact that box stores are dwindling. Yeah, I miss my Sears, seriously, I do.
But crowds, waiting lines...traffic, .parking....throw in inclement weather.....people....can be a hassle.
Went to a Boscov's to check out a piece of jewelry for xmas. The clerk was less than helpful and even less interested. Such as it goes. So home I go, get on line,....done.
Amazon is a juggernaught. In 30 minutes I can have xmas shopping done for 4 sons, 8 grandkids in 3 states done and shipped.
Personally, I have ordered things in the morning and it's been delivered by the afternoon.

Still, miss my Sears.

many edges - easy to make a list on a...zon so our kids can easily buy me the inexpensive stuff for projects, but it's interesting how many deliverers go by (and to) our house these days - that reduces emissions? crazy

It is probably the reason why I like going to Costco. That place is always jam packed.
As for Sears, It never was a favorite of mine.

Yeah I could go into the cities to shop, I value my catalytic converter, don't want my truck broke into and not really into crowded public spaces with the feral behavior of the youth.

Yeah ,shoppin with the wife 😲 I thought some weirdo was givin me a wedgie .....but no just her checkin my undie size as we passed thru that dept , then I gets strangled from behind as we peruse the T shirts while she tries to count all the X's on the label, and why do I have to try everything on , and why do I get "the look " just for stuffing a whole club sandwich in my mouth in the caffe ( gotta admit that was a little provocative 😁)......yeah ,and then I couldnt chew or swallow coz Im laughing at her poe face so it sorta spiraled from there. And all items bought that day are forever refered to as such , like when Im told to wear a certain T shirt I get " wear the one you got when you sprayed half chewed sandwich all over the Kmart caffe .......remember that ?.....I sure do how embarrassing bla bla bla "

The older I get the more I avoid crowded public places like large stores, grocery stores etc.). If I must I’ll go at opening time on a weekday. Even going to appointments is getting nuts. Went for an MRI the other day the place was jammed. ☹️

Shopping online is way too easy these days. I did most of my shopping online, but one day I did go to the closest mall because it's been years. It was kinda nice listening to Christmas music and looking at the decorations. The parking lot was full, but it wasn't elbow to elbow people.
I even ate at the food court.
I must say, I kinda enjoyed it....🎄

The old ways are better for your local economy.
Our “local economy” is 70%+ tax payer supported.

Feel free to donate more if you like….but I have no interest in giving the K Street robber barons one more cent than necessary…..lol
