The original tilt pin has corroded over the years with recent saltwater usage rapidly increasing the corrosion. The current available part number is 432453. Is there any chance this new replacement part number is made out of 304 or 316 stainless steel? If not, would it be worth fabricating one out of 316 stainless steel or would I just be dealing with more corrosion of the tilt pin holes in the mid-section?

I would machine one out of an old 4 / 5 / 6 HP driveshaft.---No way that I would pay for a new factory part.

They did make a submersible stainless one. Try one made after 1992.

Common problem.

Or, wire wheel yours and coat it in grease...good grease.

Good luck
