I am looking for a reliable big family boat in British Columbia to buy with plenty of power to get skiers up with 8+ ppl in it. I came across this boat for $38,000 Canadian, but just cant find any information for this boat on the internet or for what ppl have to say about them it has a v8 8.1litre volvo engine with 425hp approximate 300hours on it. I am just wondering what ppl think of these boats or engines im new to boating so don't know much and worried about buying a problem boat the seller is saying its a bulletproof motor? But hes also the one wanting to sell it haha. If anyone has any input on this it would be appreciated.

Lovely boat. Very powerful boat too. All GM V8’s are reliable as long as they are well looked after.

Too bad the boat in question does not have a GM in it.
Really ? What is it then ? Id be amazed if that 8.1 wasn’t a GM engine. Surely it’s like all the other VP 8.1 that age...and a 496ci GM. What makes you think it isn’t

His description says volvo engine
Have a wee look into who actually makes all these engines, that Volvo and Mercruiser have used for the last 40 years or so, until fairly recently.
The 3.0, 4.3, 5,0, 5.7, 6.2 7.4, 8.1 and 8.2 etc etc. All GM engines. Maybe hold your smart opinion, next time it wants to get the better of you, until you know more about the thing you’re responding to.
