I want to keep my deep cycle battery in a hatch toward the front of my boat, but my troling motor is a transome mount. I was thinking of running some heavy duty wiring from the front hatch to the aft and creating a small box with a couple of terminals on it to hook the motor up to.

whats up with this motor?? everything i see says this is an air cooled motor, with a water cooled column???
mine wasnt spitting any water out so i dropped the lower unit on it last night, and sure enough the impeller was shot.

I have a Johnson Seahorse 5.5 cd-15, awesone condition that sat for about 10 years. i have had the motor running before, but then it crapped out on me.
it is with the repair guy right now and we are having issues...
