I'm going smallmouth fishing in Ontario in June and I understand there's a possibility of jigging up some deep water(40-50 feet) lake trout. Can anyone recommend a heavy jigging spoon that has worked for them in this situation?

What is the correct way to connect snap plugs?
I'm replacing a tilt-trim switch that has one male snap plug end and two female snap plug ends covered in heat shrink tubing.
Are the connections meant to be crimped and/or shrunk or neither?
Do the 750 and 500 gph Mayfair bilge pump motor inserts fit into the same bilge pump housing? What about the 1000 gph insert?
Seemed like an easy way to upgrade capacity, if so.
