Will a 1969 100hp johnson powerhead work on a 1965 75hp johnson lower unit?
the covers for the engines are nearly the same size, and the engines look very much alike accept for the 1965 engine has a magneto and the 1969 has electronic ignition. size wise it looks possible anyone know for sure?
i hav a 1975 100hp johnson. this boat ran great for years but got tight all of a sudden.. it turns over but very slow with the starter. taking the heads off it doesnt free it up any.. still just as tight.. the cylinders are clean and in good shape so its not the rings. the thing that confuses me...
