my mercruiser 5.8 (GM) runs well up to 2200 rpm but flutters and stalls before reaching 2500. normal cruising rpm is 3200. replaced dist cap, sensor, cleaned carb and spark arrester. switched coils and "brain" from other engine with no result. manifold is cool up to 2000 but heats up quickly...
