    Alpha1 trim ram cap New part has brass ring??

    I am working on my first Alpha one, I have done this job on outboards but this part 98-8m0115362 is a tad different. I purchased this new trim cap and it has what looks to be a brass insert in the dust seal?? Do I yank this out?

    How do I get the OMC trim wires out of the plug? now pump going in.

    I am installing a new trim motor and the wiring has the shoe connectors. How do I get the old wires out of the connector? I have the top ring off but I cant see how to get the female conectors from the old motor out of he plug. Ideas? Thanks Mac

    Part number check OMC tilt cap 1993ish fast strike style with pins

    Do I have the correct part number for an OMC ocean runner 1993 with (Pins not bolts) I am looking for the cap that holds the tilt ram oil seal. I tore mine up taking it out. I think the part number is 122493 can anyone confirm that this is the correct cap? Thanks. Mac

    Tilt ram cap is STUCK, when to give up....

    I am trying to unscrew the tilt ram cap on an Ocean runner 1993 225HP and this mo-fo is stuck. I used a big breaker bar and the hyd tool, no luck, I even took a a hammer and punch to the cap. Dealer said hit it with an air hammer and that should spin it but I don't have one. Any ideas?

    Strange overheat twin 1996 200hp SWII Yamaha
