I have a 1978 mercruiser 470 3.7 lt. 170hp with the "old style" exhaust manifold. after some tests i found that the manifold is leaking coolent into the exhaust ports internaly... i cant see the hole or crack, is there anyway to have this manifold fixed...ive looked everywhere and i cant seem...
is it common for the exhaust manifold on a mercruiser 470 to crack causing coolent to leak into the exhaust? has anyone ever heard of this happening? just curious cause i have coolent leaking into the exhaust...thanks
I Am A First Time Boater And I Picked Up A 1978 Glastron With A 470 Mercruiser 170hp, I Took It Out For Its Maiden Voyage And It Just Had No Power, It Started Getting Very Hot So We Shut It Down And Had It Towed Back To The Dock. The Only Problem That I Can See Is That I Have Coolent Coming...
