i have been searching for a water pump for a 1966 6hp evinrude and i noticed i can order the origenal pump or an updated pump for a lil bit more $. which would be more reliable and easier to fix . i dont want to spend any more money than i need to if i can help it , this lil motor seems pretty...
i have a mercury 9.8 with the serial number 5640397. i think its a 1981 but not sure . im pretty sure it needs a water pump since its not pissing and im having a hard time finding what all i need . were can i order the water pump kit for this short shaft motor . any help would be great thanks.
