I purchased a 15hp johnson electric start from a neighbor that occasionally popped out of gear I disassembled the lower unit and replaced the thrust bearing and washers item #s 0336296 and 0388000 (everything else was in good condition)and reassembled the gearcase with the carrier tightened up...
