this is my 1st boat motor, but i'm pretty handy with things and it kills me that i've spent the last 2 hrs in the heat over something so simple. is there something i'm just not seeing? :confused:
worked fine before, but i tore the motor down for a rebuild and now the rope seems to bind up...
just picked up a '63 last night (my 1st boat motor) and noticed that it only has a low speed adjustment knob. is this normal or am i missing something? i thought these were basically the same through the years and i could swear iv'e seen some with both adjustments on them. :confused:

is there any difference or just the type of grease and check it more often?
i just got a little pond boat and already have a utility trailer that i'd like to use instead of having a 2nd trailer taking up space. did some searches, but came up empty.
