2000 Nissan 25hp - 2 stroke
Well, I kept seeing this question posted but nobody seemed to have a number to recommend ... so I went out today and bought a compression tester.
Both cylinders came back at about 160-165 psi. Seems high but at least they match up, which the Guru recommended...
I dropped my carb into the parts cleaner bucket tonight and noticed 2 dime-sized drops of epoxy/JB Weld on the top side of the carb. It is eating away obviously and will be gone by the morning. See my earlier post for the symptoms I am having with the engine -- runs but not with any power...
I recently bought a 2000 Nissan 25hp 2 stroke from our local dealer, he claims he took the 'throat plate off' to make this motor a 30hp. I've put it on a 14' true inflatable, not a rigid inflatable. I've got a console and some seats in it to add a bit a weight (125 lbs), too.
