    wont stay idling

    I have a 76 25hp evinrude that I just put new piston and rings in it. Got it all back together and it will not idle. Starts up good. What j have done. Readjusted break points, slow idle needle, new fuel pump screen and gasket, fuel line, primer bulb, spark plugs

    Re: Any Ideas what caused this Here's a picture of the bad piston. I noticed one part of the piston side looks like this is where it started. Also a picture of the other piston does it look alright. Im going to replace it also but just want to know if it looks ok.

    Motor was running fine for about a mile then bogged down. And would not rev-up. I had a feeling that I lost a cylinder but thought is just going to be a fowled plug or something not this. just the top cylinder and i guess a good thing is it didn't damage the cylinder walls.

    I'm trying to remove the powerhead from the exhaust housing to do a rebuild. My manual says to remove the front and back bolts from the powerhead. The back ones no problem but the front one is a different story. I can see the bolt but there is no way to get a wrench on it. Do I need to...
