    Does my boat have two thermostats?

    Older engine 305. Inside the Thermostat housing base it looks like it should have two thermostats, should it?

    Trying to ID Engine and Outdrive?

    :confused:1978 Cobalt. Engine Serial reads Mercury ?878415, that is all, you can not read the rest. Outdrive says Merc 77124-S. I would like to purchase the service manuals for both but need help in finding the year and model.
