I just replaced my exhaust boot on my 85 hp outboard 1988 force engine and its running alot better. I now notice that my engine is surging when i am up to full throttle also It tops out around 30 mph. I am runing it on a 17 foot larson which seems like it should go faster. Anyone have any hints...
I just picked up a 17 foot larson with an 1988 85 hp force outboard for 700 bucks. I am trying to work out some engine issues. When starting I must shoot a little starter fluid into the carbs then it starts right up and idles just fine with the cover off. Once i put the cover on the engine dies...
