Well, I just converted a 1968 to a short shaft by using parts from a 1960. The bottom gear cover was not the same but the internal parts were identical. Soooo, I am not an expert and do not claim to be, but I think most drives are interchangeable...

I am totally baffled by this. Recently changed over a manual to electric start on my 18 fastwin. The person I got the starter from included an electric choke. I have tried numerous configerations to line this thing up, short of getting out my hacksaw!
Was the 67 evinrude ever designed...

My problem is that the electric choke I used is quite old and the rubber grommet (303792)...
