    Tach reading low, switched from Merc to Yamaha

    I have a 2003 Basstracker that had a Mercury 50 on it. I replaced the motor with a 1994 Yamaha 55HP and the tach reads less than half of normal at WOT. Any ideas what I can do? The guage is a Teleflex 7K

    93 Yamaha 55HP oil mixture and RPM spec

    I have a 93 55 2 cyl i just picked up. What is the mixture? 50:1?? Also for propping, what is the RPM rating for full throttle?

    Mounting an outboard, sealing holes???

    I need to mount an outboard and drill through the transom. Is there any thing to do so the water will not get in the transome and rot the core from the drilled holes?

    Mercury Autoblend injection system???

    I bought this 96' 50HP merc today. The guy was running his oil in the gas but handed me the brand new "autoblend" tank and pump unit. Any reason Why I should or should not hook it up? Anyone have a installation manual for the thing? there is only 3 wires, my guess is Purple to the...

    96 merc 50hp 3 cly. It is a plastic tube that looks like it has a barbed splice on the end. Where does it go? Also, where can one find the model number on this outboard?

    compression spec for yamaha 55 1993

    Hi, anyone have the compression spec for a yamaha 55hp 1993 model? that is the 2 cyl model. I am thinking of buying one but want to test compression before I buy. any thoughts on the reliability of these motors?
