Lets see if I can set the story right.
First thing that happens is that I picked up boat at shop
that put a reciently puchased 1973 65373R Evinrude.
on a 34ft pontoon boat, they installed new water pump and lube lower.
Everything checked out when I bougt it, with earmuffs thou.

Have a chance to purchase a 55hp, evinrude, and need to know if its; a long or a short shaft, it's for a Pontoon boat
Number Part on motor is 55973A, SN: J07274
From what I know it's a 1969 model . .
