I have a 1989 90 hp 3 cyl merc outboard starts up and idles fine but when you put in gear it makes a clicking noise like something wrapped up in prop or around shaft, I pulled prop off and it is clear any help would be great.
my motor will run for about 200 yards then start cutting out and losing power, I can throttle down to idle for about 1 minute
then motor will run fine for another 200 yards and start same thing. is this a fuel filter problem? just had power pack replaced
I have a 1988 mercury 90hp outboard with oil injection, is it better to let motor mix oil or should I disconnect and mix myself?
If better to mix myself how do I disconnect oil injection? Also where can I get a service manual for this unit?
