Hi-
I just purchased a 57 Evinrude 5.5 Fisherman. Here's my dumb question- In trying to take off the clamshell cowl, there does not seem to be enough wiggle room to get the side by the gearshift lever off. Do I need to remove the gearshift lever in order to remove the cowl?
