I have a 1986 150 hp Black Max that I bought at an auction. I replaced plugs. It starts and runs well for up to 10 minutes, then refuses to accelarate above 1200 rpm, sometimes dies, but starts right back up. Would this mean I need to clean or rebuild the carbs? When out of gear, it revs right up!
I have a 1983 Mercury Black Max 150 hp. The little vent tubes were in bad shape when I got it and I have replaced them all, mostly, but I am wondering if I got the tubes running where they should be. Is there a diagram available of which tubes go where? Thanks for any help! Bob McKinney in Virginia
