    2001 Mercury 40hp 3 cyl 4 stroke, runs bad above half throutle

    With less than 1/3 of a tank of gas you can go right to full throutle and it runs great. You fill up the tank and no top end (sputters and dyes). I've done this several times to know it's not the new gas or the 2nd tank. Thanks.

    My Merc just quit in the middle of the lake. No sputter no nothing, just dead. After getting it back home, new gas filters, checking fuel pump, new plugs I found no spark. Each cyl has it's own coil so following wires back from the coils, straight to the Engine Control Module (ECM). I only have...
