Thanks for your comments everyone. I am taking the heads to machine shop to be inspected and have any needed work done on them. I do not have a machinist straight edge but run a Long Carpenters square across block this evening and it seemed good, I will see about getting machinist straight...
Good catch, I noticed as well, looks like someone had issue in past and just fixed the side that had trouble. I also found it is a Remanufactured short block and pistons are .060 over. It’s a 32 year old boat lot of things have been done over those years I may never know about.
Thanks, I have to have 10 posts on THT before I can post pics. I will do it there tomorrow. I really am not great at reading a used blown gasket. Even though there is no material missing. I am assuming those dark spots between cylinders is where compression is leaking.
I am having some crazy compression test readings and I was wondering what others may think this could be. I would think just something in the heads, but reading are crazy. I was expecting low compression on 1 or two cylinders but its the other way around, only getting normal compression reading...
